Sri Thyagaraja Aradhane at Sreerangapattana

The annual Tyagaraja Aradhana will be held at Srirangapatna on January 27 and 28.

The Tyagaraja brindavan is situated inside the Kodandarama temple, which belongs to Vijayanagara period. This is the only Brindavana in Karnataka which has the sacred soil from the original Brindavan of saint Tyagaraja which is in Thiruvaiyur.

The `Thygaraja aradhana' is celebrated every year on Pushya Bahula Panchami day when the saint attained samadhi.

Hundreds of Carnatic musicians pay their homage to the saint composer.

The schedule:
On Jan 27 morning, musicians gather from all over the state to conduct the ‘Unchavrithi’ followed by ‘Gosti Gayana' of Pancha Rathna Krithis.

On Jan 28 morning, Seethakalayna will be performed while the Rathothsava (car fest) will be held in the evening.

Mysore V Subramanya, covenor of the organising committee has requested all musicians to offer their prayers by performing at the Aradhana. For more details contact 9845054659.
