Indian reply..."TIT FOR TAT" with a difference!!

This is Sreesanth, of India, responding to Andre (the Giant) Nel of South Africa by scoring a six.

Disclaimer :
I try very hard to be away from cricket, not to watch it, not to talk about it and not to discuss about it. But, I admit that I fail very miserably, like this.
So... forget about all those said in many of the previous posts, or may be thats how a fan behaves at glory and at lowly times. :-)

Whatever it is, the moment, displayed above, has brought out loud laughters in all the Indian cricket fans, and also a sort of relief and pride. And I guess you guys agree with me. This picture will be etched for a long time to come in the minds of Indian cricket followers.

Hearty congratulations to our cricket team on their wonderful, historic victory on the South African soil.

This amazing win should act as a continuance to the previous post - "Aa Yaa India"... I think we all learn to need some patience, what say?

Don't get me wrong please, I am not trying to be judgmental here. I act the same way when it comes to Indian cricket... but I guess we should give these guys a little more time and respect rather than castigating them at every available opportunity. I am not saying you did that, I am just talking of our media in general.

Srik,

Maybe your post and our comments worked like a charm!

What I am really happy about is the seniors who had been "written off" and kept out of the team for all sundry reasons showed their prowess and proved that they have more to them than what meets the eye.

Hope the winning streak continues...

OI and Vani,
Thanks for staying with me.

Yeah we need to have patience and need to back the team at times of destitute and glory.

Vani, it is heartening to see those written off by Greg Chappel coming on to win us this historic game!!

ya, a historic win which was essential... for almost everybody in india. today india wins, and tomorrow, they fail miserably. and slamming happens. don't we deserve something better? (i'm being very critical) giving them some more time to prove their mettle is being lenient, at times, yes.

what you have said is true with many indians they decide not to talk cricket and their decisision is whort lived and tempted to see read and talk be it be a glorious win and shattering defeat. It is really a historical win

Remember what I have predicted for the next half year.....I know we are gonna do great in WC :)

BUT, really Sreesanth needs to play well consistently...else, he is probably better off in a dance club.

praneshachar,
Nice memories there. Those days with difficult communication facilities, it must have been more interesting and nice experience.
But today, we get to watch all the matches live, no matter what the geographical distance is. Similarly, we get to read about each and every cricket 'star' in detail in the media or in some books, its more become a commercial aspect. But those days must have been more fun, I think.
My father is a very big cricket fan and he tells us how he used to sit glued to the radio set at a neighbour's house and write down the score board on a sheet of paper..and how each ball was played... I sometimes get envy ;).

Thanks for sharing those wonderful memories.

DS,
LOL...dance club ;).. oh man...
But u know one thing? Sreeshant, Ganguly, Zaheer and Lakshman, a few of the players side-lined virtually by More and Chappel are the heros of this historic win.
And take it from me..they will do consistently as well.

OI,
Yeah I too am.

I still don't get the match referee.. he fines Sreesanth for his "agression" and then looks the other way when Andre Nel does his stuff... strange with you consider he is a Sri Lankan... maybe reverse racism here...

Srik: What's up with you man? Just busy or a curious case of "writer's block"? LOL
